About

A decade obsessed with Google Ads.

I’m Bob Meijer, a Google Ads specialist from the Netherlands. I’ve spent the last ten years managing, auditing and rescuing accounts for lead-gen businesses, e-commerce brands and SaaS companies, spending anywhere from a few thousand to several million a year. Here’s how I got here.

    Six months in a suit

Fresh out of a marketing degree, I started at Rabobank. Within six months I knew corporate life wasn’t for me, so I quit. First real lesson: find the thing you’d do anyway.

    My first webshop

I started dropshipping exclusive car wheels, taught myself web development, and, because nobody was going to drive traffic for me, taught myself Google Ads from Brad Geddes’ 500-page bible. Two returned €1,500 sets later, I’d learned unit economics the hard way. I sold the shop and moved on.

    Accidentally a Google Ads specialist

I joined a local agency as a trainee and acted like a sponge: SEO, content, social, anything. When the Google Ads guy quit, they handed me the accounts. That accident became the career.

    Bigger accounts, side hustles

I moved to a larger agency, learned from two senior specialists, and cut my teeth on complex, high-volume accounts. By night: renting out 24 rooftop tents with a buddy. The entrepreneurial itch never really left.

    I took the leap

At 25 I quit my job and went freelance as Bob Meijer. I was brought in by major agencies and worked on accounts like Decathlon, Harley-Davidson, Weight Watchers and Kadasterdata. Today I’m responsible for €2M+/mo in ad spend.

    PPC Mastery is born

I started PPC Mastery with Dutch courses and video content, then joined forces with Miles McNair. It’s now one of the largest Google Ads communities in the world. We’ve taught thousands of specialists worldwide how to properly run Google Ads, and we’re still going strong.

Google Ads from a camper van

We sold the house, built two camper vans (my wife Tara even wrote a book about it), and worked from the road across Portugal and Spain. Somewhere in there, Miles and I recorded the first Google Ads Masterclass.

    Investing & The PPC Summit

I co-founded Dapper Investments, backing early-stage SaaS, and co-founded The PPC Summit with ProfitMetrics, an annual event that brings hundreds of PPC professionals together.

    Settled in the Achterhoek

Back home in the east of the Netherlands. PPC Mastery is my main focus, and I still run a select few client accounts under my own name, because I never want to teach from the book. I want to teach from the work.

How I work

Four principles behind every account.

01

Fix the binding constraint first

Every account has one thing holding back results more than anything else. I find it, fix it, then move to the next one.

02

Test, don’t guess

Opinions are cheap. I run structured, statistically honest tests so we know what actually moved the needle, not what just sounds good.

03

Build systems, not dependencies

The best work leaves you stronger without me. I lean on agentic Google Ads systems I’ve built so my thinking scales, and your team can run with it.

04

Straight answers, always

Dutch directness. If something isn’t worth doing, I’ll tell you. If the opportunity is real, I’ll show you the numbers behind it.
